If you haven’t already heard of Artscape at Wychwood Barns, you are missing out. More than just a place, it’s also a community venue where people can come together and share culture, arts, food, civic responsibility and fun. I was there recently as it was the site of The Grid’s Burger Day (which, if you want to gorge yourself on some of the best burgers you’ll ever have, I highly recommend).  On Wednesday August 28th I returned for the first in a series of Artscape Street Parties – and this one was circus-themed!  I’m never one to say no to circuses despite my coulrophobia (ug, don’t google that word), so I headed out there, camera tow, to document a pretty darn fun evening.  Let me say they sure know how to put in a circus!  Rather than list all of the great features at the circus, let me show you in pictures:

I think it’s safe to say that when the next Artscape street party happens, I will be there – they sure know how to throw a party! In the meantime I have their next event to look forward to – the St.Clair Streetcar Centennial Celebration on September 10th! If you love transit and community gatherings then you won’t want to miss it. See you at the barns!
